Senior Mechanical Project Manager
Eden Brown
Mechanical Project Manager
London
Competitive salary + benefits | Hybrid working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing Built Environment team within an established engineering consultancy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to work across a portfolio of existing buildings and live sites throughout London, overseeing mechanical installation projects from initial survey through to completion.
You'll join a well-organised, supportive and collaborative team with a strong culture and a genuine focus on delivering quality projects for a range of exciting and high-profile clients.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing mechanical installation packages across existing buildings, working closely with clients, contractors and the internal engineering team.
The process will typically begin with engineers visiting sites to assess the existing mechanical systems and produce a detailed report. You will then take ownership of the project, overseeing the mechanical works and ensuring the installation is delivered successfully.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing mechanical installation projects across existing buildings and live sites.
- Attending sites across London to oversee project delivery.
- Taking engineering survey reports and turning them into deliverable mechanical projects.
- Managing mechanical contractors and subcontractors.
- Coordinating programmes, materials, labour and project resources.
- Monitoring installation quality, progress and compliance.
- Managing project budgets, variations and commercial elements.
- Liaising directly with clients and key project stakeholders.
- Attending site and client meetings.
- Identifying and resolving technical and delivery issues.
- Ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard.
The Projects
You'll be working on a varied portfolio of existing buildings across London, giving you exposure to a range of mechanical systems, environments and project challenges.
The team works with a number of high-profile clients, providing the opportunity to work on prestigious buildings and technically interesting projects rather than repetitive new-build schemes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, site-based and involved in the full project lifecycle, from understanding existing mechanical infrastructure through to seeing the completed installation.
