SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE MEP QUANTITY SURVEYOR

THE PROGRAMME

Join a flagship multi-year capital programme transforming Dublin Airport into a world-class international hub, expanding capacity to 40 million passengers per year with a future pathway to 55 million.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior client-side cost-management role focused on major mechanical, electrical and public-health packages across the airport transformation programme. You will provide commercial leadership from pre-contract through final account, ensuring MEP expenditure is controlled, contractual obligations are met and the programme receives clear, reliable cost intelligence.

The programme covers new piers and aircraft stands, major airfield upgrades, terminal redesign, surface access and transport improvements, and upgraded drainage and utilities. You will work in a live, safety-critical environment where robust governance, stakeholder management and disciplined delivery are essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

- Lead cost and commercial management across major MEP, building-services and infrastructure work packages.

- Develop and improve cost-management procedures, governance, reporting and budget-control processes.

- Prepare and challenge cost plans, estimates, schedules of rates, bills of quantities and tender documentation.

- Support procurement, tender evaluation, benchmarking and value-for-money decisions.

- Review valuations, variations, cashflow forecasts, forecast final costs, cost reports and final accounts.

- Lead commercial management of change, retentions, liquidated damages, claims and dispute matters.

- Provide cost input to project risk reviews and advise on the commercial impact of emerging issues.

- Monitor contractor KPIs, forecasting accuracy and commercial compliance across multiple packages.

- Mentor Intermediate Quantity Surveyors and provide specialist advice to programme and project leadership.

- Build effective relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- A BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or a closely related discipline.

- Strong senior-level experience managing MEP costs on major infrastructure, aviation, data centre, healthcare, pharmaceutical or complex commercial projects.

- Experience across both pre-contract and post-contract cost management.

- Practical knowledge of NEC contracts, change control, claims and final-account negotiation.

- Experience acting for a client, contracting entity or cost consultancy is strongly preferred.

- Registration on the Statutory Register of Quantity Surveyors in Ireland is required where applicable; chartered RICS or SCSI status is preferred.

- Strong digital measurement, cost-planning, reporting and tender-document skills.
