Senior Navigation Payload Systems Engineer - Germany

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Navigation Payload Systems Engineer (m/f/d) for the Navigation division at Germany location.

Tasks:
- Coordinate the design and development of next generation payload architectures including
architecture tradeoffs and verification planning
- Contribute to the internal training, knowledge, and tools database
- Coordinate requirements flow-down and specification writing for subsystems and units
- Review and assess supplier proposals
- Model and assess the RF Power, Signal performance, clock frequency stability, and other payload performance parameters
- Support test campaigns by analyzing measured payload performance and
assessing/troubleshooting anomalies/non conformances
- Analyze any non-conformances for impact and gain approval from customer
- Review and assess supplier documentation and participate in review meetings (design, qualification, test-readiness, post-test, acceptance, etc.) as customer
- Assess on-orbit performance and anomaly reports
- Travel regularly to supplier/customer sites supporting testing and technical meetings

Project description:
Various projects such as OpStar or Galileo, as well as security-rated projects of national
customers. The person must be willing to undergo a security check.

Profile / Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Signal
Processing, or comparable discipline
- First experience in leading a team of technical experts and interaction with
subcontractors
- Experience in technical negotiations with the customer
- Professional experience as a Systems Engineer (m/f/d) of at least 5 years
- Professional experience in satellite projects, preferably in phases C/D/E
- Self-managed and pro-active working style
- Working level proficiency in written and spoken English. German or other language
skills advantageous
- Professional experience: at least 3-5 years

Team & Environment:
The team currently consists of 7 people, but they all have a different position such as PMO Manager or are going in a different direction.
In the project team, the person is the only person who will fill the position in terms of content. However, there is a neighboring team with about 7 people who perform the same activity, so that the person will not be alone professionally. In the future, the person will then also be relocated to the neighboring team.
There are opportunities for further development as a specialist or as a manager of small study projects.
The working language is English.
General conditions:
• Home Office: 40/60 ( zwei Tage von Zuhause)
• Willingness to travel: ca. alle 2-3 Monate für 2-3 Tage ins europäische Ausland
