Senior Quality Technician in Castle Bromwich, Solihull

This will be working on site Monday to Friday 07:30am to 16:15pm Mon to Thu, then 07:30am to 12pm on Friday.

A globally recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Quality department with the appointment of a Senior Quality Technician.

Working from their manufacturing facility in the Midlands, the Senior Quality Technician will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the Plant meets Customer Expectations at each stage of the process, carrying out Audits as required.
• Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
• Support regular inspection meetings with representatives from appropriate departments to establish an action plan for improving build quality
• Conduct process and product audits.
• Raise DMN’s / SQTS for supplier issues, track containment & track costs
• Manage quarantine area.
• Manage Laboratory (Basic Test Procedure all documented)
• Use Scanning Camera to clarify Part dimensions

Principle Accountabilities

• Managing Plant Audit Schedules, arranging meetings to feedback and support non-conformance resolution.
• Inspection of suspect material, and preparing data for Root Cause reviews
• Product Audit Management.
• Preparing and issuing Quality alerts, visual aids, Etc.
• Supporting the Management of “Stop Call Resolves”
• Monitoring SQTs, seeking DMNS where appropriate.
• Actively participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the role and adherence to company policies.

Scope of Job

• Absentee cover for Trackside Support
• Prepare and Manage Plant Audit Schedule
• Assist the Quality Engineer with new product introduction
• Support the Senior Quality Engineer when requested
• Liaise and communicate with other departments.

The successful candidate should be educated to NVQ Level 2 discipline with previous experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
