Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Senior Quantity Surveyor role comes with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + a car allowance up to £450 per month, an annual bonus, 35 days holiday including shutdown days & a flexible working arrangement.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role

Reporting to the Operations Director you will:

• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, feasibility studies, and financial forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Administer contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating terms, managing variations, and resolving contractual disputes and claims.
• Oversee procurement and tendering processes, including preparing tender documentation, bills of quantities, and evaluating contractor and subcontractor submissions.
• Monitor project costs, progress, and compliance through site visits, cost reporting, risk assessment, and implementation of cost-saving strategies to ensure projects remain on budget and meet requirements.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or equivalent (RICS)
• Proven years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale construction projects, with a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Valid UK Driving Licence
