I’m working with an established main contractor who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team across a long-term pipeline of planned maintenance, refurbishment and improvement works across London.
 
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced QS who understands framework-led contracting and wants responsibility across projects from procurement through to final account.
 
The Role
  • Commercial management of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects
  • Preparing budgets and managing target costs
  • Procurement and management of subcontract packages
  • Valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor payments
  • Monthly cost reconciliations, forecasts and commercial reporting
  • Managing variations, contractual claims and final accounts
 
Projects
  • Long-term London framework programme
  • Planned maintenance and component replacement
  • Refurbishment and retrofit
  • Fire safety and remediation works
  • Projects ranging from £1m to £5m+
  • Secured framework running through to 2030
 
What they're looking for
  • Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor with main contractor experience
  • Background in planned maintenance, refurbishment, social housing or framework works
  • Strong procurement, CVR, valuation and final account experience
  • Working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
  • Comfortable commercially managing multiple packages/projects
  • Strong client and subcontractor management skills
