I’m working with an established design and build contractor who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their London commercial team.
 
The division delivers fast-paced, single-stage D&B projects ranging from £5m to £12m and has begun securing increasingly substantial schemes.
 
This is a strong opportunity for a commercially astute surveyor who understands where contractual and financial risk sits and wants hands-on responsibility throughout project delivery.
 
The Role
  • Commercial management of design and build fit-out projects
  • Procurement and management of subcontract packages
  • Valuations, applications for payment and subcontractor payments
  • Monthly CVRs, forecasting and commercial reporting
  • Managing variations, change control and final accounts
  • Working closely with the pre-construction, design and operational teams
  • Maintaining a regular site presence throughout post-contract delivery

  • Single-stage Design & Build
  • Commercial fit-out and refurbishment
  • Projects ranging from £5m to £12m
  • Fast-paced London delivery programmes
 
What they're looking for
  • Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor with main contractor, fit-out or D&B experience
  • Strong understanding of single-stage Design & Build procurement
  • Experience independently commercially managing projects through delivery
  • Strong procurement, CVR, valuation, change control and final account experience
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Hungry, adaptable and willing to maintain a strong site presence
