Senior Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

An established and rapidly growing main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Havering. The business specialises in regeneration, refurbishment, external wall systems, cladding remediation, roofing renewals, estate improvement programmes and decarbonisation projects across the residential and hospitality sectors.

With a strong pipeline of secured works throughout London and the South East, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of multiple projects and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the full commercial management of refurbishment and cladding remediation projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project budgets and cost reporting.
• Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
• Contract administration and change management.
• Valuations, applications for payment and cash flow forecasting.
• Management of variations, compensation events and final accounts.
• Risk and opportunity management.
• Producing monthly CVRs and commercial reports.
• Supporting operational teams to maximise project profitability.
• Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

• Cladding remediation and recladding schemes.
• External Wall System (EWS) replacement works.
• Residential refurbishment projects.
• Estate regeneration programmes.
• Roofing replacement and renewal projects.
• Energy efficiency and retrofit programmes.
• Local Authority and Social Housing frameworks.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment.
• Essential experience delivering recladding, cladding remediation or external wall system projects.
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts.
• Experience managing projects independently.
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
