An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Tier 2 civil engineering contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects across London.
The business has a strong reputation for successfully delivering projects across the water, utilities and civil engineering sectors and has secured a healthy pipeline of work through long-term framework agreements. The Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple water and civil engineering projects.
- Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and change management.
- Preparing and managing subcontract procurement and commercial packages.
- Managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.
- Producing accurate cost forecasts, CVRs and financial reports.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
- Valuing completed works and agreeing applications and payments.
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance and profitability.
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil engineering contractor is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and commercial reporting.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
- Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
