Site Requirement: 2–3 days per week
Ganymede Solutions are currently working with a leading contractor within the UK water sector who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with 2x freelance Quantity Surveyors / Senior Quantity Surveyors on a Water Treatment Works project in Bournemouth.
The requirement is initially for 3 months, with the successful candidates joining the project during its final stages to support with commercial management and project close-out.
The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management and close-out of a range of Civils and MEICA packages.
Key responsibilities will include:
- NEC3 subcontract management
- Payment assessments and subcontractor management
- Final account negotiations and commercial close-out
- Disallowed cost negotiation
- Pricing and management of Compensation Events
- Forecasting and cost management across labour, plant and materials
- Commercial management of Civils and/or MEICA packages
- Supporting packages including surfacing, final pipework installation, MEICA installation and commissioning activities
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure or utilities
- Good working knowledge of NEC3 contracts
- Experience managing and closing out subcontract packages
- Experience negotiating final accounts and disallowed costs
- Civils and/or MEICA commercial experience
- Water sector experience, with Clean Water experience particularly desirable
- Experience using Causeway and/or Aconex would be advantageous
This is an initial 3-month contract supporting the close-out of a major Water Treatment Works project.
There is the possibility of further opportunities across other water projects following completion of the initial assignment, although this cannot be guaranteed.
Rate: £550–£600 per day Inside IR35
Location: Bournemouth – 2–3 days per week on site
