Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial manager / Power / Transmission & Distribution / Renewables / EV 

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of major energy infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for maximising project performance through effective cost management, contract administration, commercial reporting, risk management, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.

Immediately

Requirements of Senior Quantity Surveyor :

· Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the  Energy, Utilities, Power, or Infrastructure sectors.

· Strong understanding of contracts and commercial management principles.

· Good working knowledge of commercial construction law and standard forms of contract, including NEC, JCT, ICE and bespoke client contracts.

· Experience managing multiple projects or framework contracts simultaneously.

· Excellent commercial awareness with strong negotiation skills.

· Ability to analyse financial data and provide commercial insight.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Job description of Senior Quantity surveyor :

· Manage the commercial performance of energy infrastructure projects and frameworks.

· Manage pricing, including the preparation of pricing schedules at tender stage.

· Produce accurate cost forecasts, valuations, and financial reports.

· Monitor project performance against budgets and commercial targets.

· Administer contracts, variations, compensation events, and change control processes.

· Prepare and negotiate client applications, claims, and final accounts.

· Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and commercial performance.

· Lead commercial discussions with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

· Identify and mitigate commercial risks across multiple projects.

· Support project delivery teams with commercial advice and guidance.

· Develop and maintain robust cost control, reporting, and forecasting processes.

· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements.

· Provide mentoring and development support to junior commercial team members.
