The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading specialist contractor delivering works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a complex, long-term project where you'll play a key role in commercial management, supporting the successful delivery of major civil engineering and geotechnical works.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial performance of allocated work packages.
- Administer NEC contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial reporting.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and commercial performance.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with operational teams to support successful project delivery.
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.
About You
We're looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Strong commercial experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of NEC contracts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience within ground engineering, piling or heavy civils would be advantageous.
