Senior Engineer – £100m High-Rise Residential Project
Birmingham City Centre
Up to £70,000 + Comprehensive Package

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the team delivering a landmark £100 million high-rise residential development in the heart of Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on one of the city’s flagship schemes, working alongside an experienced project team on a complex, technically challenging build from structural frame through to completion.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating all engineering activities on site.
• Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Reviewing and managing technical drawings, specifications, and design information.
• Ensuring quality standards and compliance with project requirements.
• Supporting the management of temporary works and logistics.
• Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports.
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Background with a recognised Main Contractor.
• High-rise residential or major RC frame experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, setting out, and engineering processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications desirable.
