Senior Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a major residential project in Cambridgeshire.

The project involves extensive cladding and fire mediation works across residential blocks, with the current programme expected to run for just over two years. There is also a strong pipeline of further work anticipated following completion of the initial project.

We are looking for a confident and experienced Senior Site Manager who has a proven background working on cladding and/or fire remediation projects and is comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of works on site.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, site teams and suppliers.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate cladding, fire remediation and associated construction activities.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager/Senior Management Team.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety requirements, specifications and regulations.
  • Manage site documentation, inspections, permits and quality records.
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings.
  • Coordinate with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues on site efficiently.
  • Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with programme and budget requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health & safety and quality throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager on major construction projects.
  • Essential: Proven experience within cladding and/or fire remediation.
  • Experience working on residential blocks would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management and health & safety.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site activities effectively.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of site operations.
  • Relevant site management qualifications/certifications are desirable.
