Sphere Solutions are working with a successful large regional contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a major new scheme in Bideford, North Devon. The successful Senior Site Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day construction activities on this major development, working closely with the Senior Project Manager and wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of construction activities
• Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors and trades
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
• Plan, coordinate and monitor construction activities across the development
• Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and wider project team
• Coordinate subcontractors and supply chain partners
• Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant standards
• Manage site logistics, sequencing and resource requirements
• Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental requirements are met
• Attend and contribute to site and project meetings
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders
• Provide leadership, direction and support to the wider site team

About You:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manage
• Strong traditional build experience
• Previous experience delivering multi-storey residential developments or apartment schemes
• Experience working with precast concrete and complex structural elements
• Experience managing subcontractors and large site teams
• A strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and site logistics
