Role: Senior Structural Engineer

Salary: £44,000- £50,000

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their award-winning Structural Engineering team in Chippenham. This is a key leadership role within the office, offering the opportunity to shape project delivery, mentor engineers, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the structural engineering team within the Leicester office
• Deliver high-quality structural designs across a diverse project portfolio
• Take responsibility for project delivery from concept through to completion
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors
• Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians
• Contribute to business development activities and client relationship management
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and BIM Level 2 requirements

Project Portfolio:

You will work on a wide variety of projects throughout the UK, including:

• Education, healthcare, industrial, commercial, and residential sectors
• Projects ranging from small housing schemes to multi-storey developments
• Construction values typically between £250k and £30m

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural engineering
• Proven experience in leading teams and delivering complex projects
• Strong design capability using steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete
• Good working knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles
• Experience working within BIM Level 2 environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

• Chartered Structural Engineer (or working towards chartership)
• Relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
