Senior Tutor – Vocational & Apprenticeships

Fox Morris Group are currently working with Bradford Metropolitan District Council to recruit an experienced Senior Tutor – Vocational & Apprenticeships.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tutor, Assessor or Apprenticeship professional with a strong background in delivering vocational learning and supporting learners through their qualifications.

The Role

You will provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to a diverse range of learners, including apprentices, families, unemployed and employed adults.

Delivery will take place across a variety of settings throughout the Bradford district, including schools, nurseries, Children's Centres, employer premises and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective vocational and apprenticeship training to learners across the district.
  • Develop and deliver a range of learning and skills programmes, including:
    • Apprenticeship Standards
    • Vocational courses
    • Vocational Related Qualifications (VRQs)
    • Associated component qualifications and learning aims
  • Plan and deliver practical training experiences appropriate to individual learners.
  • Assess, monitor and review learner and apprentice progress throughout their programme.
  • Support learners to achieve their qualifications within agreed timescales.
  • Maximise learner engagement, retention and timely achievement.
  • Adapt teaching and learning approaches to meet different learner needs and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and evidence of progression.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant contract, awarding body and End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with employers, learners and other stakeholders to support successful outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience delivering vocational training, apprenticeships or adult learning programmes.
  • Strong teaching, tutoring, training or assessing experience.
  • Experience supporting apprentices through their learning journey and monitoring progress.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and vocational qualifications.
  • Understanding of awarding body and End Point Assessment requirements.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work across different community, education and employer settings.
  • Relevant teaching, training and/or assessor qualifications would be advantageous.
