We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent automotive business in the Hersham area that's looking to welcome an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to its growing team.

Whether you're happiest with a scan tool in your hand, chasing an elusive fault that everyone else has given up on, or proving that "it's probably just a fuse" isn't always the answer, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

The Role

As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you'll be the person people turn to when the warning lights multiply, the fault codes don't make sense, and someone utters those famous words...

"It was working when it came in."

Your day-to-day will include:

• Advanced diagnostics and fault finding
• Mechanical repairs, servicing and maintenance
• Working efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards
• Supporting the workshop team with technical knowledge and experience
• Keeping customers' cars (and sometimes your colleagues) moving

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• Solid experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills
• Confidence carrying out all aspects of mechanical repair and servicing
• A full UK driving licence
• Excellent attention to detail
• VAG experience (preferred but not essential)

If you've ever fixed a fault no one else could find, resisted the temptation to use a hammer as a diagnostic tool, and can explain an intermittent electrical fault without losing the will to live... you'll fit right in.

• £40,000 - £45,000 basic salary
• Monthly productivity bonus of up to £400
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:30pm
• No weekends (because everyone deserves at least two days without hearing "Can you just have a quick look at my car?")
