Service Advisor in West Thurrock

SENIOR SERVICE ADVISOR
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday | 08:00-17:00
Saturday: Alternate Saturday mornings
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
 
Are you an experienced Senior Service Advisor looking for your next challenge within a busy HGV or commercial vehicle dealership?
 
 
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
·Welcoming customers and providing a professional and friendly service
·Taking detailed information from customers regarding vehicle faults and repair requirements
·Accurately logging vehicle concerns and creating job cards
·Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing appointments
·Liaising with the Workshop Manager to maximise workshop efficiency and loading
·Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
·Providing accurate repair estimates and explaining recommended work
·Promoting additional maintenance, workshop services and relevant products
·Handling customer payments and cash transactions accurately
·Managing invoicing and service department administration
·Dealing with customer queries and resolving concerns professionally
·Supporting customer retention and building strong long-term relationships
·Leading by example and supporting colleagues within the Service Department
 
 
What We're Looking For
·Proven experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Service Advisor or similar
·Previous experience within an automotive, HGV or commercial vehicle dealership/workshop
·Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance
·Excellent customer service and communication skills
·Confident discussing repairs, maintenance and additional work with customers
·Comfortable identifying opportunities to upsell relevant services
·Strong organisational and administrative skills
·Good IT and technology skills with the ability to learn new in-house systems
·Ability to work under pressure in a busy service environment
·Professional, proactive and customer-focused approach
