Automotive Talent Partners is representing a successful franchised main dealership in Wokingham in the appointment of an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive Aftersales team within a highly regarded automotive dealer group.

THE ROLE

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle’s service, maintenance or repair journey.

You will provide a professional and welcoming experience, keep customers fully informed and work closely with the workshop and parts departments to ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome customers and discuss their vehicle service, maintenance and repair requirements.

Book vehicles into the workshop and accurately record all customer and vehicle information.

Explain required work clearly and provide customers with accurate cost estimates.

Keep customers regularly updated on the progress of their vehicle.

Gain authorisation for any additional work identified by the workshop.

Liaise effectively with technicians, workshop control and the parts department.

Prepare invoices and explain completed work and associated costs to customers.

Promote additional products and services where appropriate.

Maintain accurate records and ensure all manufacturer and dealership processes are followed.

Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and satisfaction.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Previous experience as a Service Advisor within an automotive dealership is highly desirable.

You will have excellent customer service and communication skills.

You must be confident speaking with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.

You will be organised, professional and able to manage a busy workload.

You must have good computer and administration skills.

Experience using dealership management systems would be advantageous.

A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
