Our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealer group operating throughout South/South West England for over 25 years, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Service Advisor to join their dealership in Swindon. This Service Advisor role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals looking to advance their career within a dynamic automotive environment.

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am-1:00pm) paid as overtime
Duties of a Service Advisor:
  • Providing professional customer service by liaising directly with customers during vehicle servicing
  • Tracking vehicle progress through workshops and coordinating with workshop and parts departments
  • Recommending additional work requirements and explaining associated costs to customers
  • Scheduling and recording work to ensure efficient workshop operations
  • Assisting the aftersales team with administrative tasks including file auditing, service bookings, preparing orders, invoicing, and registering new vehicles
  • Maintaining courteous and efficient communication with customers and colleagues
  • Supporting the workshop team to ensure high standards of service delivery
Requirements of a Service Advisor: 
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or in a customer service role within the motor trade
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to deliver exceptional customer service
  • IT proficiency; experience with Pinewood Pinnacle is advantageous
  • A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
