Service Charge Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Charge Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day service charge accounting functions for a diverse property portfolio. This is a brilliant opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact in a thriving business.

Key Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Management: Assist Property Managers in the setting, reviewing,

and management of annual service charge budgets.

• Year-End Accounts: Lead the preparation of year-end service charge accounts,

ensuring accurate expenditure reporting and timely distribution to leaseholders.

• Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive bank, supplier, and balance sheet

reconciliations regularly.

• Credit Control: Monitor outstanding service charge arrears, issue demands, and

proactively manage debt recovery in line with company policy.

• Financial Reporting: Produce accurate monthly and quarterly management

reports, detailing variances against budget.
