Job Role: IT Service Desk Operator – Level 1
Location: Gladstone House, RDE Heavitree, Gladstone Road, Exeter, EX1 2ED

Trust: Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation

Hours: 37.5 hours/week On-site role

Contract: 6 months (Possibility of being permanent)

Pay Rate: £13.60/hr + Holiday pay =>> £15.46/hr (Day)

  • Saturday Rate: £18.36/hr + Holiday Pay =>> £20.87/hr
  • Sunday Rate: £22.99/hr + Holiday Pay =>> £26.13/hr
  • Bank Holiday Rate: £22.99/hr + Holiday Pay =>>£26.13/hr

Role Summary:

We’re hiring a Service Desk Operator for the IT team at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This 6-month role is ideal for someone with a recent IT qualification or experience. You’ll provide frontline IT support and handle switchboard duties, with independent work after a 1-month training period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line IT support to NHS staff
  • Required to cover the Service Desk call volume
  • Work shifts between 08:00 and 20:00, Monday to Friday along with weekends and bank holidays.

Ideal Candidate:

  • IT experience.
  • Minimum “A-Level” education in IT or equivalent.
  • Confident, reliable, and able to work independently
