What We're Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Gates & Barriers Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of automated gates, barriers, bollards, and associated access control systems across commercial, industrial, residential, and public sector sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Install, service, maintain, and repair automated gates, traffic barriers, rising bollards, and access control systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults on automated entrance systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
  • Commission new installations and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Complete digital service reports, installation documentation, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and facilities teams.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment to a high standard.
  • Participate in an on-call rota where required.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Good understanding of automation control panels, safety devices, and access control integration.
