We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing specialist pumping-station business, covering primarily Kent and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience across pumps, wastewater, sewage, drainage or associated electrical/mechanical equipment who is looking for a field-based position with strong earning potential.
The company provides complete pumping-station solutions across installation, commissioning, service, maintenance and remedial works, supporting customers across wastewater and clean-water applications.
The Role
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault finding on sewage and wastewater pumping stations across your territory.
Responsibilities will include:
- Service and maintenance of sewage and wastewater pumping stations
- Working on submersible pumps and associated pumping equipment
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Working on control panels and associated electrical equipment
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on site
- Responding to emergency call-outs when required
- Completing site documentation and service reports
- Liaising directly with customers and the wider engineering team
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety
What We're Looking For
We would be interested in engineers from backgrounds including:
- Pumping stations
- Submersible pumps
- Wastewater / sewage
- Drainage
- Water utilities
- Pump service and maintenance
- Electrical/mechanical field service
Previous pumping-station experience would be highly advantageous, particularly engineers comfortable fault finding across both mechanical and electrical equipment.
Relevant qualifications such as confined space, CSCS and electrical qualifications would be beneficial.
A full UK driving licence is required.
