We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Service Manager at a reputable main dealership in Derby, Derbyshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to lead a busy and well-established aftersales department, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include managing daily departmental operations, driving customer satisfaction beyond manufacturer targets, monitoring performance and profitability, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and company standards, and leading and developing the Service team. The successful individual will also be responsible for managing budgets and maintaining a safe, professional working environment, in collaboration with senior management to meet business objectives.

Duties of the Service Manager:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day Service Department operations
  • Drive customer satisfaction levels above manufacturer targets
  • Monitor departmental performance, profitability, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure manufacturer and company standards are consistently maintained
  • Manage departmental budgets and reduce operating costs
  • Motivate and develop the Service team to maximise performance
  • Maintain safety, compliance, and professionalism within the department
  • Collaborate with senior management to achieve business objectives
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Service Manager within a franchised main dealership
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and customer service
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to drive performance while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards
  • Full UK Driving Licence
