  The Role

We are looking for an experienced Service Office Administrator to join a busy Supply Chain and Operations team in Coventry.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on administration role supporting the day-to-day running of warehouse and transport operations. You will work closely with the Service Office Leader, warehouse/FLT teams, hauliers and customers, helping to coordinate goods in and goods out while ensuring all associated paperwork and systems are kept accurate and up to date.

The position would suit somebody with previous warehouse, logistics, transport or distribution administration experience who is comfortable working in a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of FLT/PPT drivers and allocate work across the team.
  • Support the efficient running of goods-in and goods-out operations.
  • Book drivers and hauliers in and out of site.
  • Liaise with hauliers, suppliers and customers regarding deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure the correct stock is issued against customer orders.
  • Process and check warehouse, transport and delivery documentation.
  • Update SAP accurately with stock, order and operational information.
  • Complete reports, trackers and general administration accurately and on time.
  • Work closely with the FLT and warehouse teams to ensure loading and tipping targets are achieved.
  • Communicate with customers by telephone and email when required.
  • Highlight operational issues to onsite management.
  • Ensure company processes, procedures and Health & Safety requirements are followed.
  • Report accidents and near misses in line with company procedures.
  • Work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous administration experience within a warehouse, logistics, transport, distribution or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident liaising with warehouse teams, hauliers, suppliers and customers.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when processing orders and paperwork.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Confident using IT systems including Excel, Word, Outlook/email, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience completing trackers, shift reports and updating internal management systems.
  • Able to work autonomously while also contributing effectively as part of a wider operations team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing operational requirements.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • FLT licence.
  • HACCP for Food Manufacturing.
  • IOSH certification.
