Setting Out Engineer – Kilrane / Rosslare

The CSR Group are working with an established construction contractor who is seeking a Setting Out Engineer to join a new residential development in Kilrane, Rosslare.

The project consists of 74 new homes with an 18-month programme and is commencing immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with further projects in the pipeline, offering strong long-term prospects beyond the initial development.

€65,000 - €75,000 + Package

Responsibilities

• Carry out all setting out and surveying duties across the residential development.
• Set out housing plots, foundations, finished floor levels and site boundaries.
• Set out roads, kerbs, footpaths and associated external works.
• Manage setting out for foul drainage, surface water, water mains and underground services.
• Coordinate ESB and other utility infrastructure requirements.
• Ensure works are completed accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Carry out level checks, surveys and as-built records.
• Maintain quality control documentation and site engineering records.
• Liaise closely with Site Management, subcontractors and the design team.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and drawing discrepancies on site.
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of civil engineering works throughout the development.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer.
• Strong residential housing experience is highly desirable.
• Experience setting out roads, drainage, water mains and surface water infrastructure.
• Good understanding of ESB and underground utility/service installations.
• Confident using Total Station, GPS and associated surveying equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working independently and taking responsibility for engineering requirements on site.
