About the Role
Our client, a leading facilities and energy services provider, is seeking a HSE Coordinator to join the site team at an operational renewable energy plant. This is a key support role within the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality function, working closely with the SHEQ Manager to embed a strong safety culture across the site.
You'll play an active role in promoting positive safety behaviours, supporting incident investigation, and helping drive continuous improvement in HSE performance with the opportunity to deputise for the SHEQ Manager in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with employees, contractors, and visitors to promote a strong site-wide safety culture, maintaining a clear understanding of personal HSE responsibilities
- Provide accurate, practical HSE advice and procedural guidance to both direct employees and contract personnel
- Represent the HSE function positively at internal and external forums, contributing constructively and closing out assigned actions in a timely manner
- Conduct worksite inspections to required standards and timescales, ensuring effective communication and close-out of resulting actions
- Prepare content for internal HSE communications - newsletters, updates, meetings, noticeboards, documentation, and training sessions
- Maintain full working knowledge of site Safe Working Procedures following appropriate training
- Develop incident investigation capability, producing accurate reports and ensuring recommendations are tracked to close-out
- Support environmental/waste management activities and assist with COSHH-related responsibilities
What We're Looking For
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely, with extensive experience in an industrial setting
- Experience working within a legislative SHE framework against agreed targets
- Strong team player, willing to take on tasks that support both team and personal development
- Auditing experience
- Sound understanding of risk assessment best practice
- Methodical, accurate, and detail-conscious approach
- Confident delivering training and group presentations
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Full UK working rights required
