Job OverviewWe are seeking Skilled Sheet Metal Workers, ideally with previous aerospace industry experience, to join our manufacturing team.
The successful candidates will have strong practical sheet metal fabrication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately to engineering drawings and specifications. Aerospace experience would be highly advantageous due to the precision, quality, and compliance standards required within the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture, fabricate, form and assemble sheet metal components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work with a range of sheet metals and aerospace-grade materials.
- Carry out bending, forming, cutting, drilling, riveting and general sheet metal operations.
- Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
- Use a range of hand tools, power tools and sheet metal machinery safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed components to ensure they meet required dimensional and quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Identify and report any quality issues or discrepancies.
- Follow all health & safety, quality and company procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a production/manufacturing team while meeting agreed deadlines.
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker / Sheet Metal Fabricator.
- Strong practical skills in sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of measurement, tolerances and dimensional accuracy.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and sheet metal equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience within the aerospace industry.
- Experience working with aerospace-grade aluminium and other specialist materials.
- Experience with aircraft structures or components.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and quality requirements.
- Experience with riveting, forming and precision assembly.
- Relevant engineering or manufacturing qualifications.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Safety-conscious approach.
- Flexible and willing to learn new processes and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under production deadlines.
