Site Agent – Major Infrastructure Project
Location: Merseyside / Liverpool area
Duration: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension
Start: Immediate
Engagement: Inside IR35
We’re currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure project in the Merseyside area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive construction professional to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile transport infrastructure programme, working alongside an experienced project team and coordinating a range of site activities and supply chain partners.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to the required quality standards and in line with programme requirements.
The Role
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of site coordination and delivery, including:
- Managing daily site operations and coordinating subcontractors
- Overseeing site documentation, records and quality requirements
- Managing permits, inspections and associated site paperwork
- Coordinating supply chain partners and monitoring performance
- Supporting programme delivery and proactively identifying risks or delays
- Ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with approved methodologies
- Attending progress meetings and providing clear project updates
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and the wider delivery team
- Supporting commercial and procurement activities where required
About You
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in a Site Agent, Site Manager, Sub-Agent or similar construction delivery position.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong experience managing subcontractors and multiple site activities
- SSSTS or SMSTS and First Aid qualifications
- CSCS Gold Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent organisational and documentation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive approach to site delivery and problem solving
Rail experience would be advantageous but is not essential — candidates with strong transferable infrastructure or construction experience are encouraged to apply.
