Site Agent

Rate: £360 per day (Umbrella/CIS)
Contract: 11 Weeks

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading highways contractor on an 11-week riverbank repair scheme in Oxfordshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Agent with highways or civil engineering experience to take ownership of a live project involving sheet piling, riverbank stabilisation and associated civils works.

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of the scheme, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality and health & safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day site operations and programme delivery
• Supervising riverbank repair works, including sheet piling and works adjacent to water
• Coordinating subcontractors, site teams and supply chain partners
• Managing site health, safety, environmental and quality standards
• Identifying and mitigating project risks
• Liaising with commercial teams, designers and the client to manage design changes and project requirements
• Supporting construction programming and methodology development
• Monitoring project costs, progress and quality throughout delivery
• Ensuring all site personnel are competent, inducted and working safely

To be considered, you should have:

• Proven experience as a Site Agent on highways or civil engineering projects
• Experience delivering earthworks, structures, river works or similar infrastructure schemes
• Strong understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety management
• Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS Card (Gold Supervisor desirable)
• First Aid
• NRSWA Supervisor (preferred)
• Knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous but not essential
