Site Compliance Technician in North East

Are you confident working with field teams and supply chain partners, carrying out audits and ensuring health & safety, quality, process and customer service standards are consistently maintained?

We’re recruiting a Site Compliance Technician to join a busy team supporting wastewater operations across the North East.

You’ll work closely with service partners and field teams, reviewing operational activities, providing guidance on best practice and ensuring work is delivered safely, compliantly and with a strong focus on customer impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review and approve jetting operations, providing guidance and mentoring to field teams
  • Build strong relationships with supply chain partners to support mentoring, compliance and best practice
  • Undertake site and operational process audits, identifying and escalating health & safety concerns
  • Monitor customer impact throughout operational activities and ensure excellent customer service is maintained
  • Monitor reactive and pre-planned maintenance work to ensure processes and customer requirements are followed
  • Maintain accurate records across customer and client management systems
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001
  • Capture lessons learnt from activities and share key information with relevant stakeholders
  • Produce accurate progress, quality and compliance reports
  • Support the wider department with operational and compliance requirements when required
  • Promote high standards of health and safety and support compliance with relevant legislation
  • Participate in training, appraisals and personal development opportunities
  • Support continuous improvement across operational processes and service delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working within the wastewater or water industry
  • Varied experience of the wastewater network and its operational requirements
  • Experience of high-pressure water jetting
  • Knowledge of vacuum tankers, CCTV surveys and/or trenchless technologies, including patching, lining or pipe bursting
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, quality and compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate information
  • Good IT skills and confidence using business systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, contractors and stakeholders
  • Friendly, approachable and professional manner with a “can do / will do” attitude
  • Ability to manage competing demands, work independently and support colleagues
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Full clean UK driving licence – essential
