Job Description
The CSR Group are working with a residential developer who is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a number of private housing developments in Dundalk, Co. Louth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, hands-on site team with a strong pipeline of residential work in the area for a minimum of the next five years.
The client is open to speaking with experienced Site Engineers as well as recent Civil Engineering graduates who have gained some relevant site experience and are looking to develop their career.
Package
- €55,000 - €90,000 depending on experience and package
Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 17:00
Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out and surveying for housing developments, including foundations, drainage, roads, services and associated works.
- Ensure all works are completed accurately and in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Work closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors and other members of the site team.
- Check levels, dimensions and completed works throughout the construction process.
- Assist with quality control, inspections and maintaining accurate site records.
- Review drawings and raise any technical queries or discrepancies as required.
- Assist with the coordination of subcontractors and day-to-day site activities.
- Monitor progress and help ensure works are delivered in line with the programme.
- Maintain accurate as-built information and engineering records.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Support the wider site team with technical and engineering issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous Site Engineering experience within residential, commercial or civil construction is desirable.
- Recent graduates with relevant placement or practical site experience will also be considered.
- Experience with setting out and surveying equipment would be advantageous.
- Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Total Station and GPS equipment is desirable.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small site-based team.
- Motivated to develop and progress within the construction industry.
This is a site-based position in Dundalk with an immediate start available and excellent long-term security, with a pipeline of private housing developments planned in the area for at least the next five years.
