Site Engineer – Major Civil Engineering Project
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading tier-one civil engineering contractor on a major long-term infrastructure project in Suffolk.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest and most prestigious heavy civil engineering schemes, offering long-term work and the chance to be part of a high-performing delivery team.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of structural works, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for a range of reinforced concrete and structural works.
- Managing and carrying out QA/QC inspections and ensuring all quality documentation is completed correctly.
- Producing and maintaining accurate as-built records.
- Interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Working closely with Site Managers, Sub Agents and the wider delivery team.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, specification and health & safety requirements.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in structures, setting out and quality assurance (QA/QC).
- Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- CSCS Card.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
