Site Engineer

Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role will be based in Plymouth. As a pivotal member of the engineering team, you will assist the Engineer in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings.
- Establish effective systems to record work completed, updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly.
- Participate in developing quality check sheets and carrying out surveys.
- Assist with site safety, environmental, & quality inspections.
- Manage systems to review the progress of work against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
- Record and test workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
- Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer technical queries.
- Set out works constructed within allowable tolerances from a provided site control.
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of TP144 Site Engineer standards.
- Experience in Temporary Works Design and acting as a Temporary Works Coordinator.
- Proficiency in Site Engineering practices and PTS Civils.
- Relevant academic qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng).
- Experience in the use of Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels).
- Experience in reinforced concrete structures using system formwork.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and writing RAMS.
- Good standard of IT skills.
