Start Date: Early/Mid September 2026 Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a specialist piling contractor on a major infrastructure project near King's Cross Station. The project involves the construction of a secant piled wall. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with piling and geotechnical experience to support the delivery of a technically challenging scheme during a critical phase of works. Responsibilities
- Manage quality assurance and quality control activities for allocated piling operations.
- Review, implement and maintain compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Inspect reinforcement cages upon delivery and verify compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate piling sequences and daily work activities with the Project Manager and site team.
- Complete pile records and pile logs accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain and update concrete cube registers and associated quality documentation.
- Raise, manage and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required.
- Ensure all records, inspections and quality documentation are completed to project standards.
- Support safe delivery of works in accordance with company and client procedures.
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on piling, ground engineering or geotechnical projects.
- Experience working with secant piled walls, rotary bored piling, CFA piling or similar techniques is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, ITPs and inspection requirements.
- Experience maintaining site records, pile logs and quality documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate effectively with operational teams.
- CSCS Card essential.
- First Aid and SMSTS/SSSTS beneficial but not essential.
