Site Engineer in Leeds, West Yorkshire

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a highways project in Leeds, supporting the delivery of the drainage package.

The Role

• Delivering setting out duties across the highways drainage package.
• Setting out drainage runs, manholes, chambers, gullies and associated infrastructure.
• Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Carrying out surveying duties using GPS and total station equipment.
• Checking line, level, alignment and gradients to ensure accurate installation.
• Completing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate site records.
• Liaising with Site Agents, Site Engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on highways or civil engineering projects.
• Strong experience delivering drainage packages.
• Competent in using GPS, total stations and relevant surveying equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or demonstrable equivalent experience.

Contract Details

• Rate: £300–£350 per day, depending on experience.
• Start Date: ASAP.
• Duration: 6 months.
• Location: Leeds.
