Site Maintenance Engineer

Nelson Recruitment Services are urgently looking for a practical, reliable and proactive Site Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities team at our Tamworth site. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining a safe and professional working environment, and have a broad range of maintenance skills, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key part in ensuring our site remains safe, functional and well-presented while supporting colleagues across the business.

£29-£31K

What You'll Be Doing

As our Site Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out general repairs to site fixtures and fittings
• Painting, decorating and completing basic maintenance tasks
• Installing appliances and equipment
• Assisting with the upkeep of external yards and landscaped areas
• Disposing of waste safely in designated areas
• Setting up meeting rooms and replenishing refreshments
• Supporting statutory inspections and compliance activities
• Promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Providing maintenance support across other company sites when required
• Assisting with showroom and trade stand display installations
• Driving company vehicles as part of your duties
• Providing additional support to the Facilities team as needed

Essential

• Full UK driving licence
• Basic electrical wiring knowledge
• Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
• Painting and decorating experience, including filling and painting
• A positive, helpful and approachable attitude
• Professionalism and integrity when representing the business
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Forklift licence
• MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) licence
• PAT Testing qualification
