Site Manager – Immediate Requirement

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee several ongoing and upcoming construction and refurbishment projects in Folkestone, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in construction, refurbishment, and building fabric works to join a busy programme of works within a live operational environment.

Candidates with existing BPSS or SC clearance are highly desirable due to the nature of the projects and the requirement for an immediate start.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple projects involving:

Structural repair and refurbishment works

Internal and external redecoration projects

Window and door replacement programmes

Demolition works

Associated building fabric improvements

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations across multiple projects.
  • Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project programmes.
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate specialist trades.
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain health and safety standards in line with company procedures and statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate site logistics within a busy, occupied environment.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Complete site documentation, reports, permits, and records accurately.
  • Monitor progress and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Provide practical support on-site where required and lead by example.
  • Ensure works are completed to programme, budget, and quality expectations.

Experience & Skills Required

Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, refurbishment, or building fabric projects.

Strong understanding of:

Asbestos removal works

Scaffold operations

Temporary structural support works

Demolition projects

Groundworks

Window and door installation projects

Experience managing works within occupied buildings and live environments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Methodical and organised approach to project delivery.

Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Hands-on attitude with a strong work ethic.

Good command of the English language.

Qualifications

Essential

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • BPSS Clearance
  • SC Clearance
  • Asbestos Awareness Certification
  • Temporary Works Coordinator experience
  • Experience working on secure, government, defence, or highly regulated sites
