Site Manager – CAT A & CAT B Fit Out

Location: Central London
Day Rate £300 - £350 per day CIS 

The Company

Our client is a well-established London-based fit out contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial office, workplace, and mixed-use fit out projects across the capital. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a flagship £30m CAT A & CAT B commercial fit out project in Central London.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a designated area of a £30m commercial fit out project. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure programme targets are achieved, maintain exceptional health & safety standards, and oversee quality from first fix through to client handover.

The successful candidate will have proven experience delivering high-value CAT A & CAT B commercial fit out projects for recognised fit out contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on a £30m commercial fit out project.
• Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors on site.
• Deliver works safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
• Drive programme and ensure subcontractors meet milestones.
• Chair daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation.
• Complete site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Manage logistics, deliveries and site access.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to identify and resolve programme risks.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and the wider project team.
• Produce site reports and maintain accurate project records.
• Manage snagging, commissioning and handover phases.

Requirements

• Must have experience working for a recognised Fit Out Contractor.
• Applications from Main Contractors or Developers will not be considered.
• Proven experience delivering CAT A & CAT B commercial fit out projects.
• Experience managing projects valued between £10m–£30m+.
• Strong knowledge of commercial office fit out.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and finishes.
• Client-facing with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Essential Qualifications

• SMSTS
• CSCS Black or Gold Card
• First Aid at Work
• Asbestos Awareness (preferred)
