£50,000 – £65,000 a year
City Of London · Permanent
I’m working with an established main contractor to appoint a Site Manager for a 5* prestigious medical facility in the heart of London.
This development will create specialist facilities for advanced care. It’s a project with a clear purpose, where the quality of construction will help shape the environment in which patients receive life-changing treatment.
For a Site Manager who enjoys technically demanding work, takes pride in the finish and knows how to get the best from subcontractors, this is a compelling next move.
The opportunity
You’ll take ownership of your allocated works, turning the programme into coordinated activity on site and maintaining momentum through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager, commercial team and subcontractors, you’ll make sure delivery meets the project’s safety, quality and programme requirements.
The role combines practical site leadership with the attention to detail a specialist healthcare environment demands. You’ll need to anticipate issues, resolve competing priorities and keep teams focused on delivering work correctly first time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading subcontractors and coordinating trades, sequencing and short-term programmes.
- Managing inspections, test plans, quality checks and snagging through to close-out.
- Maintaining safe working practices, including permits, RAMS and temporary works procedures.
- Understanding package scopes and identifying changes with the project and commercial teams.
- Coordinating materials, equipment and site logistics to support efficient delivery.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have a proven record of delivering medium to large construction projects, with the confidence to lead on site and the judgement to tackle issues before they affect progress.
Experience in healthcare or life science projects would be relevant. Above all, you’ll bring strong subcontractor management, clear communication and high standards for both safety and workmanship.
Why consider it?
Alongside a competitive salary and benefits package, you’ll join an established contractor offering professional development and clear routes for progression. You’ll also add a distinctive specialist healthcare scheme to your project experience, with responsibility for work that has a lasting purpose.
If you’re ready for a project that will challenge your skills and give you something meaningful to show for them, get in touch for a confidential conversation.
