We are currently looking for a highly experienced Freelance Site Manager to take the reins on a brand-new care home development in Greater Manchester.
You will be joining the project from day one. This means we need a well-rounded Site Manager who is highly confident managing everything from the initial site setup and complex groundworks, right through the structural frame, and all internal fit-out and finishing phases.
If you are a No. 1 Site Manager who thrives on taking a project out of the ground and delivering it to a high standard, this is the perfect long-term contract for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
Taking full operational control of the site from inception to handover.
Managing all initial groundworks, drainage, and structural frame erection.
Coordinating all internal trades, MEP installations, and high-quality finishes tailored to a care environment.
Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols and maintaining a safe site at all times.
Driving the construction programme, managing sub-contractors, and ensuring key milestones are met.
Conducting quality assurance checks, managing site logistics, and handling all standard site documentation.
What You Need to Have:
Proven Experience: A strong track record acting as the lead Site Manager on comprehensive new build projects (ideally care homes, large residential, or commercial builds).
Full Lifecycle Knowledge: You must have demonstrable experience taking projects out of the ground (groundworks & frame) as well as managing internal packages.
Certifications: Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black or White Card, and an in-date First Aid certificate.
Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
