Site Manager – Industrial Groundworks Package

Location: Heathrow, West London

Rate: Negotiable (DOE) – Outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading groundworks subcontractor on a major industrial groundworks package in the Heathrow area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation and a secure pipeline of work across West London and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will join an initial project offering approximately one year's work, with further opportunities available upon completion.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a busy industrial groundworks package, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. You'll manage subcontractors, site teams, materials and programme while maintaining excellent Health & Safety standards throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the groundworks package.

• Supervise subcontractors, site operatives and suppliers.

• Coordinate labour, plant and materials to ensure programme targets are achieved.

• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across site.

• Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions and regular site inspections.

• Liaise with the client, engineers and project team.

• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to specification.

• Oversee an industrial groundworks package including earthworks, drainage, piling, foundations, RC slabs, concrete works, ducting, kerbing and associated external works.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager working for a groundworks subcontractor.

• Strong background delivering industrial groundworks projects.

• SMSTS – Essential.

• Gold CSCS Card – Essential.

• First Aid at Work is desirable.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
