My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a water treatment scheme in Preston, with an immediate start available. The project involves tunnelling and shaft construction, so previous experience managing underground works is essential.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Toolbox talks
- Client liaison
- Stakeholder liaison
- Health and safety compliance
- Ordering materials
- Managing day-to-day site operations
- Supervising subcontractors and site teams
- Managing the delivery of tunnelling and shaft construction works
- Overseeing deep excavations and associated civil engineering works
- Ensuring works are delivered on programme and to specification
- Managing RAMS, permits, temporary works, and site documentation
- Overseeing quality control, inspections, and as-built records
- Supporting the Project Manager with programme delivery and client reporting
Site Manager Requirements:
- Black or Gold CSCS
- SMSTS
- Previous experience managing tunnelling and shaft construction projects is essential
- Previous experience working on water treatment or water infrastructure schemes
- Strong civil engineering background
- Experience managing specialist subcontractors and underground works
- Knowledge of temporary works and deep excavations
- IT literate
- Full UK driving licence
