Site Operations Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading manufacturer and installer of innovative composite infrastructure solutions. The business is recognised for delivering high-quality, sustainable products across major civil engineering, rail, utilities,  commercial and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. As the company continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Operations Supervisor to lead installation teams on projects nationwide, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standards. This role is ideal for an experienced site supervisor who enjoys leading from the front and is happy to work away from home during the week on national projects.

The Role

As Site Operations Supervisor, you will oversee multiple installation teams on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and in line with client specifications. This is a hands-on supervisory position where you will provide leadership, coordinate labour and resources, maintain excellent health and safety standards, and work closely with project management to ensure successful project delivery. Projects include the installation of specialist GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) flooring systems, walkways, platforms, access structures, handrailing and bespoke composite structures across a wide variety of sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day site operations across multiple installation teams.
  • Lead by example whilst remaining actively involved in installation activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment and materials on site.
  • Report project progress to senior management.
  • Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Promote and enforce high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) compliance.
  • Ensure all operatives wear and correctly use the required PPE.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications.

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, motivating teams and maintaining exceptionally high standards.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience supervising construction or installation teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • CSCS Card, SSSTS (or equivalent Site Supervision qualification), PASMA, IPAF, Harness & Lanyard Certification, Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification (or willingness to obtain where required)

Working Arrangements

This is a nationwide site-based position. Applicants must be comfortable with:

  • Working away from home Monday to Friday (typically returning Friday afternoon/evening).
  • Travelling extensively throughout the UK.
  • Staying overnight in company-funded accommodation.
  • Working a 50-hour week.
  • Undergoing regular drug and alcohol testing in line with client site requirements.

Hours & Overtime

  • 50-hour working week.
  • Monthly target of 216 working hours.
  • Any authorised hours worked beyond this threshold are paid at time and a half.
  • Where workload allows, additional hours may be balanced with paid time off during quieter periods.
