The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor to support the delivery of major refurbishment, construction and planned works projects.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Site Supervisor looking to join a stable, growing contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
  • Manage and coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, suppliers and site resources.
  • Monitor project progress and provide detailed updates and reports to the Contracts Manager.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures and project-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and site audits.
  • Manage site documentation including diaries, allocation sheets, toolbox talks and health & safety records.
  • Coordinate materials, plant and labour requirements to ensure uninterrupted project delivery.
  • Support project programming, planning and risk management activities.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to monitor costs, variations and project performance.
  • Chair and contribute to site progress meetings with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Promote high standards of workmanship, professionalism and customer satisfaction throughout project delivery.
  • Assist in managing workforce performance and identifying training and development requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working as a Site Supervisor within construction, refurbishment, planned maintenance or social housing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of site operations, construction processes and health & safety requirements.
  • Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors on live projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and programmes.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to site management.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project cost controls.

Essential Qualifications

  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
