Site Supervisor - Water Infrastructure

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Supervisor to oversee water mains renewal and infrastructure projects across the Thames Valley region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong utilities, water, civil engineering, or infrastructure background who enjoys leading teams, driving project delivery, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Manage and coordinate operational teams and subcontractors.
• Plan and organise labour, plant, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
• Support commercial teams with resource and cost management.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practice across projects.

Requirements

• Previous experience supervising utilities, water, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements within construction or utilities environments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and utility plans.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Water Hygiene.
• NRSWA Unit 10 (or equivalent).
• Cable Avoidance / Safe Digging.
• First Aid.
• Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Desirable Qualifications

• Temporary Works Supervisor.
• Slinger/Signaller.
• NPORS Traffic Marshal/Banksman.
