What the job involves

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to franchise standards
• Tracking down faults with the manufacturer's own diagnostic equipment and software
• Completing electronic vehicle health checks and reporting any extra work honestly
• Working closely with the service advisors so customers get clear, accurate updates
• Road-testing and inspecting vehicles when needed
• Keeping workmanship and efficiency consistently high
• Guiding apprentices and less experienced colleagues where you can
• Keeping your technical knowledge current through manufacturer courses

What you'll need

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent
• A full UK driving licence
• Main dealer or manufacturer experience (desirable)
• Diagnostic experience (desirable)
• An MOT Tester licence (a bonus)
• Good communication and a team-first attitude
