We are looking for experienced Slingers / Signallers to support major defence and shipbuilding programmes in Barrow.

• Carry out slinging and signalling duties for lifting operations
• Safely prepare, secure and guide loads during crane operations
• Select and use appropriate lifting accessories and equipment
• Support vessel, production and manufacturing activities
• Follow lift plans, procedures and site safety requirements
• Assist with confined space and permit-controlled activities where trained
• Support vessel care, preservation and temporary protection
• Complete relevant documentation and quality checks
• Work closely with crane operators, supervisors and production teams

• Previous Slinger / Signaller experience in shipbuilding, engineering, construction or heavy industry
• Valid Slinger / Signaller certification
• Strong understanding of safe lifting and load-handling practices
• Ability to interpret lifting documentation and work instructions
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Shipyard or vessel movement experience
